History

RKVVO was founded on December 3, 1942, in Oerle. Therefore, we celebrated our 60th anniversary during the 2002-2003 season. The initial facilities were located on Zandoerleseweg near the center of Oerle. From the 1950s, the facilities moved to Heikantsebaan (near Welschap Airport and the Northern residential area Heikant and De Kelen). In the 1970s-1980s, RKVVO had a golden team with an excellent generation of Oerle boys who performed well in the third class of KNVB. Since the early 1980s, RKVVO has experienced explosive growth in membership due to the expansion of Veldhoven resulting in the neighborhoods Heikant and De Kelen. By the end of 2000, RKVVO welcomed its 500th youth member. In 1990, we congratulated the 500th member, but now we have just as many youth members. The growth continues. While a few years ago we welcomed youth members from Heikant-West and -East for the first time, now we attract youngsters from De Kelen and De Polders, as well as the northern edge of Veldhoven, Cobbeek, and 't Look. Thanks to the youth plan, we aim to promote youth players to the selection every year.

In the 1997-1998 season, RKVVO 1 was promoted to the fifth class. In the 2000-2001 season, our first team was promoted to the fourth class, the second team became champions, and the ladies team was also promoted. In the 2002-2003 season, the jubilee year, the A1 team became champions and the first team was promoted to the third class. Also, ladies 1 has been playing in the third class since the 2003-2004 season, thanks to achieving a commendable second place. Due to a championship in the 2004-2005 season, the first men's team was promoted to the second class. In 2015, the first team was relegated, only to return to the second class the following year.
